Haru Travel Log

Privacy Policy

iPhone and iPad · Effective September 28, 2026

Your travel records stay on your device. Starting with iOS 1.9.5 (build 25) and Android 1.9.5 (versionCode 18), the apps display no ads and include no Google Mobile Ads or UMP SDK. The advertising practices below apply only to earlier ad-supported versions.

1. Records stored on your device

The app stores countries and cities, visit/plan/wish-list status, dates, ratings, notes, update times and the selected map mode locally. There is no account and no developer-operated server that receives these records. Eligible visited countries, planned destinations and dates, and display language are shared with the app's widgets through an App Group on the same device. Notes and ratings are not shared with widgets.

Depending on your settings, iCloud or device backups may include app data. The app does not provide account-based synchronization between devices.

2. Google ads and consent (earlier ad-supported versions only)

Earlier ad-supported versions used Google AdMob and the User Messaging Platform (UMP). In those versions, Google's SDK could process approximate location inferred from IP addresses, device or app identifiers, advertising and product interaction data such as impressions, clicks and video views, performance information, crash logs and other diagnostic data. These could be used for advertising, measurement, analytics, diagnostics and fraud prevention. Information could also be processed during SDK initialization and communication before an ad appeared.

Earlier iOS ad-supported versions requested non-personalized ads and disabled Google's publisher first-party ID. The app did not request ATT tracking authorization or GPS access. Public destination names could be sent as contextual ad keywords. Saved travel notes, dates, ratings, visit status and search text were not sent as ad keywords. The developer did not add a separate analytics SDK.

In those earlier versions, UMP provided consent choices where required. The advertising SDK started only when ad requests were permitted, and ads were suspended while a consent form was open. Ad availability depended on consent status and region. For Google's processing, retention, deletion and international processing practices, see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from partner apps.

3. Deletion and choices

You can edit or remove individual travel records in the app. To remove the app's local records, delete the app in iPhone or iPad Settings. Offloading an app may retain its data. Manage operating-system backups separately in iCloud or device backup settings; restoring a backup may restore previous records.

Open the shield button on the main screen to read privacy information. In earlier ad-supported versions, use that version's ad privacy options to change choices when Google required it. External links, and ads shown in those earlier versions, are governed by the destination service's policies.

4. Contact and updates

Operator: DongchanSeo. Contact us through the public GitHub support board. Do not include private travel notes or personal contact details in public issues. Information you choose to submit, including your GitHub profile and issue text, is handled under GitHub's policies.

We will update this page and its effective date when the app's data practices change.
