Records stay on your device

Haru Golf does not require an account. Course identifiers, visit status, dates, ratings, scores, notes, revisit preferences, modification times and language preferences are stored locally. The developer does not receive these records or operate a synchronization service. The app does not request GPS, camera, microphone or contact access. Builds 1–2 did not contain an ad SDK; build 3 introduced Google Mobile Ads in earlier ad-supported versions. Starting with iOS 1.0.2 (build 15) and Android 1.0.3 (versionCode 14), the apps display no ads and include neither Google Mobile Ads nor UMP. The advertising section below applies only to older ad-supported versions.

Advertising (earlier ad-supported versions only)

In earlier ad-supported versions, a native ad could appear below a course’s details. The app requested non-personalized ads and did not send notes, scores, dates, search queries or course names as ad targeting. Google Mobile Ads could process IP-derived approximate location, device identifiers, ad interactions, crash logs and performance information for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. No separate analytics SDK was included. Those versions used Google’s User Messaging Platform to request consent choices where required before production ad requests; available privacy choices could be reopened in Settings. Earlier internal TestFlight and Android beta builds used Google sample ad units: they did not earn advertising revenue and still connected to Google to load test creatives. Widgets and operating-system backups

The app shares course identifiers, planned dates, map region and language with its own home-screen widgets through local app storage. Private notes and scores are not shared with widgets. Device or cloud backups provided by Apple or Google may contain app data, depending on your operating-system settings. Those services operate under their own policies.

Export, import and external links

A backup file contains your records, including notes. Export and import happen only when you choose these actions. The recipient or storage provider you select may receive the file. On iOS, the native map uses Apple MapKit and may send map-service requests to Apple. On Android, the map uses geometry bundled with the app and does not load remote map tiles. The app does not request GPS location. If you open Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, attribution pages or support links, your browser or the destination app connects to that service; its privacy policy applies. The Google Maps link contains the selected golf course’s public coordinates, not your device’s position.

Deleting records

You can clear the fields of an individual course and mark it Not yet. Remove all local app data through your device’s app-data settings or delete the app. iOS offloading can retain app data. Manage exported files and OS/cloud backups separately; restoring a backup may restore records.
